Tent
« on: August 20, 2015, 07:48:26 AM »
I reckon we should all do what Diane has done and go tenting - in the back garden if necessary. So here's my idea. Let's pick a day and all of us tent out for the night and report on the whole thing the next day. And you're not allowed to have the mains supply leading from your house to the tent, nor are you allowed to "pop in" for a tea.

Sorry, which part of this is actually fun?
I apologise, in advance.

The masochism of it is the fun part. Where's your sense of adventure?

It always stopped at masochism.
I apologise, in advance.

So you didn't even leave the beaten trail, if you'll forgive the pun. I'm on about venturing into the irrational and painful wilds of physical hardship and the lack of a toilet. Dennis would be all for this kind of thing.

Bit late but my only recollection of tenting was about 10 years ago in Wales.

Recollection........ Getting a bollocking for leaving the bog roll in the khazi!!

Apparently, you're supposed to bring it back with you......tenting etiquette....my arse!

Never been since!

You tent had a khazi? That's quite a tent.

No....said Khazi was 500 yards away, past the tents that had blown away at 2:00am in the morning!

Not sure if the issue is Tenting or Wales or both!

Or the people who put up the tents.

If you don't bother in the first place you can't get it wrong!
