If I have researched this correctly, the "saloon bar" was a part of a pub that had carpet and wallpaper and used by men wearing a suit or ladies wearing an expensive outfit. The "public bar" was more rough and ready where swearing was permitted.

Perhaps we need a rough and ready section to this forum.

No, I was thinking we could have a section with arguments and fights and insults and manly stuff, and another for Roger.
