Do you keep track of how often you feature each character? Do you have a routine or do you sometimes forget about a character for ages?

I keep a note of each week's theme and the characters involved in it. I rotate the characters but not too strictly. For example, the gap between appearances by the Nomad could be anything from four to nine weeks. Sometimes I'll start to write a series featuring the Nomad---or Egon or the Colonel---and nothing comes to mind so I leave it and come back to it at a later date.
