Batches

Roger, do you write your strips in batches, knocking off a couple of dozen in a day, and then sit back and have a holiday, or do they have to come daily?

He does them all on a Sunday morning, and spends the rest of the week playing golf, watching football, and buying lemons (for his cocktails).

How does he get to the golf course if he cannot drive?

And surely he can afford driving lessons.

His driving lessons are at the driving range. He can afford them but doesn't have a Ford. He gets the bus.

I don't have that information. I'll have to get back to you on that one.

Perhaps he should consider rollerskates.

You think it's that easy, YOU try it.

Just as a guide, it took me three hours and 24 minutes to craft that witty riposte above.
I apologise, in advance.

How clever. You had the reply started before Mince had even posted the question.

It can't be that difficult. Here is a week's supply if Roger wants a week off.

BEAU PEEP: Why aren't you wearing any trousers?
DENNIS: I am!
BEAU PEEP: Well, either you're crazy or I am.
DENNIS: (looking down) It's me, isn't it?

BEAU PEEP: So who stole your trousers?
DENNIS: Honest Abdul bought my belt.
BEAU PEEP: And the trousers?
DENNIS: I haven't seen them since.

DENNIS: Do you like my knobbly knees?
BEAU PEEP: Oh, belt up!
DENNIS: (annoyed face)
BEAU PEEP: (thinking) I'm a whizz at play on words.

BEAU PEEP: (to Mad Pierre) Doesn't Dennis look daft?
MAD PIERRE: [**SMACK**] (hits Beau Peep)
BEAU PEEP: Why did you hit me?
MAD PIERRE: (shrugs) I dunno.

BEAU PEEP: Why don't you buy some shorts.
DENNIS: That's a good idea.
BEAU PEEP: Mine's a whiskey. (laughs)

I write a 6-day series of Beau at one time. This may take a morning, a day or even two days. I have never written anything as good as the samples you provided.

I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not. Did any of them make you chuckle - even a little? I would like your professional opinion. It's okay. I can take criticism.
