I like Karaoke.
I was a snob about it for a while, because I used to sing in a band and thought Karaoke was for drunken ladettes.

Then a few football teammates tried to "initiate" me by forcing me to do an Eagles number one night.
To them it was the equivalent of hang gliding, they were so scared of standing up and performing solo in public.

I did the Eagles number, then a Cars number (I remember asking the audience to sing the chorus ("my best friend's giiiiiirlfriend"...) and then "Sway" by Dean Martin. By the time I'd finished, girls were throwing their panties on stage.

Now I've perhaps gone too far the other way, actively seeking out karaoke nights.

Phew, for a minute there I was thinking maybe you'd reverted to throwing your panties off the stage at them!
Nostalgia is not what it used to be. 😟
