Zoo says one of its tigers has tested positive for coronavirus.

So they're testing tigers but not pesky people.

In any case, it's probably a good idea to stay two metres away from tigers from now on.

The pet rescues here were saying that you can't get it from your pets - people had been dropping off pets because of fear of contamination before this news. I don't know what this story will mean to house cats.

Yes, cats ought to be placed into huge transparent hamster balls before being let out.

My three little monsters have been gated to the house and garden since we got to Evesham.  There is a cat-proof net around the garden but i have yet to install the guard posts and searchlights.

I do have a GSD (albeit geriatric) to protect me from the smeezes.

My son works for a Norwegian company. He left Scotland in February to spend a year in their Bergen office. His girlfriend/partner gave up her job to be with him. The plan was to soak up Norwegian culture by exploring the country every weekend. Ho-hum.
Anyway, that's not the point. The point is that my wife and I were left with their cat and some of you may recall my opinion of cats. I don't want it tested for coronavirus, I want it tested for bloody annoyingness.

My daughter was having a gap year in New Zealand - working on kiwi farms and touring around. Now of course she can only pick kiwis, can't even visit the local beach.  But thankfully she took a few months off and did all on her most wanted to do list, like penguins and Hobbiton.

She didn't leave a cat with me.
