Tarquin Thunderthighs lll:
I try not to complain, Diane.

But it was at LEAST quarter of a mile!

Roger Kettle:
Tarks, I remember that Chicory Tip song very well. It was early 1972 and I had returned to Dundee to resume my career as a sub-editor on the children's comic "The Topper". I was broke and living in a bed-sit with no TV and very little heating. In the evenings, I would lie under the covers of my bed and listen to the radio. "Son Of My Father" was played constantly and I have associated it with those days ever since. I'd like to think you're all in tears by now...

Diane CBPFC:
You had covers (plural) - most people back then just had scrunched up newspaper...

Tarquin Thunderthighs lll:
...And a wonderful, wonderful soup stone!

Max:
Chaps, hold on to your bits and pieces and try not to scream too loud.
