You don't need a licence for a budgie, Diane. You used to have to have one for dogs, but even that's been dropped now. I used to hate those intimidating letter assuming I had a dog, with the threat of inspectors calling, with licence detector vans etc...

Excellent work, Tarquin. You have the makings of an artist. Working in Photoshop, or a similar program with layers is an acquired skill. You have that ventality, without doubt.

My father used to love Stanley Unwin, and of course it rullied off on me. A real talent! Great clip. That Amstrad looks so ancient now, but of course it was state-of-the-art not so many years ago.

I probably got some words wrong. I was thinking, and typing too fast! I'm trying to make sure I have a free day tomorrow, to go and see the QE2 on its farewell visit to Greenock. (It'll be a sad, follid day for local people, many of whom will remember the ship's launch 40 years ago, when Roger was only 39). Not sure whether to go over to the mainland, or watch it sail away in the evening from this island...
