Bayeux ballyhoo

You know how if you like things online then you keep seeing more, well I don't know if the whole world has gone crazy for the Bayeux Tapestry or if it is just me.

I am seeing it everywhere, both stories about the embroidery and memes in the style of.

I am currently reading a book were each "scene" is explained, unfortunately by a man with no imagination who doesn't like to either go with popular opinion of make stuff up himself - just the facts - which seem to be we don't know the whole meaning for most of the scenes.

It is very interesting how the fabric has survived and kept its colours all this time.  Anyone popping down to see it in all its glory?

It's certainly a remarkable piece of history and, as you say, it's amazing how the fabric has survived so well. I once heard it described as "A bit long but one of the best comic strips I've ever seen."
