A Wee Break.
« on: October 09, 2007, 09:38:12 AM »
Tomorrow, I'm off to Edinburgh for the night and then on to Portugal for a week's break so it's unlikely that I'll be appearing here for a while. I will, of course, be thinking of you all as I lie in the Algarve sun, dipping my toe in the pool and my face in a beer. Be good.

So you're not taking your laptop then, Roger? You do realise your posh hotel will have a wireless hotspot free for you to use? There's no need to miss us at all.

It's a villa, pal, a villa. Me,the wife and Diamond Lil. The girlies can go shopping while I search for bars showing the Scotland games. Oh, the hardship!

I booked into a charming B&B on a trip home to Scotland a few weeks back. I got the most wonderfully stunned smile from the landlady when I asked her if she had a wireless hotspot. Thankfully, her husband knew exactly where to find it.
I apologise, in advance.

I will miss you terribly Roger.

That is, I may forget to miss you ?til about Friday but then I will make up for it by missing you a bunch all day Saturday, unless of course, I have to go shopping on Saturday, then I will put off missing you to Monday ? if you are coming back on Wednesday anyway, it is hardly worth getting myself all that upset by then is it? It is a double blow to have Lil gone at the same time ? there really needs to be some sort of holiday roster so this sort of thing doesn?t happen again.

I hope you all have a nice lazy time in the sun.  ;D ;D ;D

I think we should all set aside some time on Sunday where we can miss Roger together so that he "feels the vibe".

I'd like to go to a posh hotel where there's a wifie. Someone else's. With hot spot. Hot to trot.

Oo-er missus. Phoarrrr.

OK, Mince. Let me know the time and I'll think 'Roger' (and before any of you schoolboys get there first, 'Roger' as in proper noun, not 'Roger' as in the verb!) thoughts.

Come on, Tarquin - you can't be washing your hair ALL day. You must have 30 seconds on Sunday that you can spare.

Another thread is currently dominated by the elderly, incontinent members of this forum, and this one's entitled "A WEE break". I can't come on this forum anymore without the feeling that somewhere a tap's running....  :-\

I looked everywhere for a "ps" there, as in "post scriptum" but then finally realised Peter must have leant too long on the space bar while he was typing Peeps.  Hope I've got that right, Peter???

Diane, thank you for your good wishes and I shall do my best to see that all goes well...as some of you may remember, the boy has been known to wear his slippers when we goes out shopping so I'll be having a dress inspection by the pool every morning.  I'm off now to have one last hectic day at work...not for all of us the pre-holiday holiday in sunny Edinburgh....would give a great deal to see the boy this evening as he sits through 3 hours of Shakespeare...now that's what I call friendship!  ::)
