I was 51 three days ago. Thanks for remembering.

My wife and I are going through a war of attrition at the moment, because I forgot our anniversary last week, so she deliberately bought a birthday present I didn't want ("The Eagles" DVD) and wrapped it in inside-out "Happy 21st" Birthday paper.

I'm waiting for the next opportunity, which will be Christmas, to have a go back at her. I'd really appreciate some ideas which will p*ss her off. I'm not talking about in a nice, roll-your-eyes- Terry and June way, I'm talking about a pack-your-bags-and-get-lost-you-pig way.

We'll make up later, don't worry. We haven't had an argument in eighteen years and I'm jealous of other couples who do, and who have great make-up sex.

Should I start a new thread?

Be very worried they hold their anger for a lone time.
My wife brings up thing from when we were courting that's 42 years.

Funny, that you would remember your own birthday yet forget your anniversary - you pig!  ;D

The easiest thing to do, in your situation, would be just to re-wrap the Eagles DVD.

Does that involve lipstick, powder and paint, by any chance?
Nostalgia is not what it used to be. 😟

I'd love to help but as I've been divorced for the last 28 years, I haven't had an argument for that long. (What's 'great make-up sex'?)

I can remember that my ex bought me a huge saucepan for my 21st birthday. I was so delighted that he'd remembered the date that I must have been a bit over-enthusiastic. The enthusiasm wore off when I got kitchen equipment for birthdays AND Christmas for the next ten years! It certainly p*ssed me off!

Hey, I didn't celebrate my birthday - other people did. I was confronted with little groups singing "Happy Birthday" at various junctures through the day, (at the football club, at the pub, etc). The inconsiderate bastards didn't remember my anniversary for me, unfortunately, or I wouldn't be in this mess.
