That would be like a short person having a "friend" stop in and say "I''m a 6"2" friend of Mince's".

And who but an English teacher would have a clue as to where to put that apostrophy in  Mince's - it's all very fishy to me.

Hello, madjock, and thanks for that link - a real blast from the past for me.  :)  I was in Aviemore for a couple of months in the summer of 1975 - I think probably July/August, but couldn't be sure.  Worked in Caird's ski/gift shop for some of that time and visited a couple of times after that, then visited again while passing through with my children in 1998, I think.  I actually knew a couple of the people in the photos, which was what really took me back.
