I remember discussing favourite films and books on here several times but I'm not sure if we got round to T.V. shows. (I'm guessing the words "Doctor" and "Who" might be mentioned by a certain somebody). Anyway, as a kid, I vaguely recall peering at a snowy, black and white screen, trying to watch something called "Cabin in the Clearing"---a scary programme about pioneers in a log cabin, surrounded by hostile, Mohican Indians. Later on, but still in the black and white era, I fell in love with Lucy, Dick van Dyke and, especially, Bilko. Comedy was always my thing. Over the years, there were many shows that became unmissable. Peter Cook and Dudley Moore, Spike Milligan, The Smothers Brothers, Monty Python, Taxi, Cheers, Mash------all the way up to Alan Partridge, The Office, Seinfeld, Curb Your Enthusiasm and Scrubs. I'm sure there are more that I've forgotten. On the Drama front, everybody I knew stayed in to watch The Boys From The Blackstuff and I, Claudius. These were the days when only the rich had video recorders and pubs' takings dropped dramatically when these shows went out. As I said, I'm sure there are many more that I've forgotten....
