I have a love of Cryptic Crosswords. The Sunday Times has a particularly good one, and it also gives an "answer" each week, which readers are invited to create a clue for.
I've never won.
Here is my attempt for this week. The "answer" is "Team Spirit". My clue is "Collective enthusiasm is somehow meat and drink for the most part". I have my fingers crossed for the ?20 prize.
Previous failures include (the "answer" followed by my clue):
Dispersal: Less rapid, clumsy, distribution.
Frontispiece: Recipe of tins' ingredients illustrated in book.
Drawbridge: Crossing from back room to make a grand entrance.
Ideologist: Visionary replaces loose digit.
