Title: Srange Bookshop Experiemce.
Post by: Roger Kettle on October 28, 2008, 06:09:27 PM
I walked into my local Waterstone's today to be faced by a display of a new book....
THE COMPLETE BOOK OF MINCE.
Apparently it's a book of mince recipes by a French chef who now lives in Scotland. On the back, it has spoof reviews by publications like "Mince Daily" and "The Mince Despatch". Well, that's Egon's book up the spout.

I'm sure we can come up with alternative titles, Roger. All is not lost.

'Of Mince and Men' springs to mind, but there will be better ones. Come on, Troops!

It's the name, isn't it. As soon as 'Mince' is mentioned everyone's grammar goes to pot!

Well at her age you can forgive the odd misteak.

Oh, I see. Thanks for explaining, Tarks. I'm too old for this schoolboy humour.  :-\

Didn't Mince once write a tome giving an insight into the practitioners' continued appreciation of the female form, both in the art world and beyond?

It was called Mince & Titties.

Extra Strong Mince.

I would hate Egon's book to be squashed by the fact that some Frog has beaten him to the punch.

Just goes to show that you have to strike while the iron's hot.

Do it! You've missed the market this year, but you have a whole twelvemonth until next Christmas.
