It's a bit quiet this evening.

Well it was, until someone disturbed the peace!

Actually, it's REALLY quiet for me this evening. My wife has gone to London for the weekend to visit old friends and my son has disappeared to a pal's house for the night. When you add in the fact that my daughter moved into a flat about 18 months ago, my God, it's quiet. I'm not sure what to do with myself. I've already done the Tom Cruise bit, playing air guitar in my underpants, so I'm running out of ideas. I think I'll go and kick the cats again.

I had to read this twice, thinking it was a euphamism for something else, but now the penny has dropped, and my blushing has subsided! Go kick the cats!

Sorry, Vulch! I was talking about that movie (what was it called?) where Tom Cruise slides into view in his underpants, miming to an old rock song. ( Wooly Bully?). My memory is SO good these days. Mind you, having re-read my post, I can understand the misinterpretation. I think we may have created a wonderful new euphemism.

Was it Risky Business?

I imagine it was at Roger's age.

It wouldn't have been so bad if it hadn't been in his front garden just as the police car drove by.

In actual fact, I looked quite stunning. My skin shimmered with Deep Heat while I tried to click my arthritic fingers.

So do I! Maybe we're related.

Roger, I think that song was "Old Time Rock And Roll" by Bob Seger.
