re todays beau peep  forgive me if i am wrong but why would pierre have french lessions in school if he is french

But.... the kids in UK schools have English lessons.....?

Indeed, Vult. It teaches them grammar, punctuation and spelling, etcetera. Like when to use capital letters, apostrophes and full stops for example...
