Title: Quite a Long Walk...
Post by: The Peepmaster on October 12, 2009, 03:54:47 PM
I was wondering if any of our Australian friends have met this guy yet (http://www.wwwalk.org/FrameSet_an.html). He popped out to have a stroll around the world in 2000, and by my reckoning should be in Australia at the moment.

Yep, the crocs got him just outside Humpty Doo. All that was left was his eyebrows.

I've never heard of Humpty Doo before, and was surprised to see that it is quite close to Fred's Pass, Howard Springs and Herbert.

You learn something new everyday!  :)

He wants to watch he doesn't step in any Humpty Doo, - it would spoil his shoes.

Aunty Ethel didn't like Fred's Pass. Particularly as he made it to one of the young waitresses.

I have to admire this guy walking round the world. I've got a bruised big toe just from walking a mile and a half down to Port Bannatyne and back, on Saturday night. Mind you, he's taking his time about it - nine years already!

Fair play to you for walking there Nev, but for God's sake don't make the mistake like I did and eat at the pub there.
Ordered mussels, and when I pointed out that quite a few were closed was told...... oh just pry them open, they'll be fine.

Thankfuly I didn't, I also pointed this out to the staff, and wasn't charged for my main course.

When I told Ailsa, my son's partner, she said, what did you expect it's the Port?
So next time you go there, just imagine the music from "Deliverance" playing in the background.

Better news from Bute,  I'm going to be a grampa again, this time, in the words of Neil Munro and Para Handy "It"s a twuns", identical twuns at that.

 ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)

Congrats. When's the due date? How many have you already (NOT twins, grandchildren!).

Due date is in April, my older boy's partner (Heather) is also expecting, due in May.
All being well I'll have 8 grandchildren by then from both boys.

So the scores on the doors will be, Darryl and Ailsa 3, Gavin and Heather 5.

The rumours about me trying to start my own football team are totally unfounded.

 ;D ;D ;D ;D

Who's "Nev"?

Kind regards,

Nigel (AKA Peepmaster).  ..0

Nev exists only in my aged befuddled brain Bob.

But he's a good guy, so I'll keep him there.

My God, Max, do those boys of yours have NO control?
Congratulations, nonetheless!
