Alone in the Crowd

"Hands up who likes me".
That's what I wish to say
Whilst sitting at the bar
As locals chat away.

"Hands up who likes me".
I want to shout it loud,
Then people, they might say
"Oh Nige, you've done us proud".

"Hands up who likes me".
But, the words they just won't come,
Cos secretly, I fear, to them,
I'm just a drunken bum.

Nige, am I the only person who thinks you're God? I'm a cult!
All I have to do now is come up with a name for this cult and, while "The Nigerians" springs to mind, I think that's been taken.

I'm thinking of writing a poem too. It will be called "HRT plus U spells HURT".

I know it really spells HRTU, by the way and I haven't started the thing yet anyway. It could change: "If you're into HRT, take care you don't get hurt", for example. Maybe not, though.

No, it still works. HURT is HRT plus U, wherever you place the letter.
