I actually find myself on Google News every morning and evening after my lessons hoping that there will be a news report stating that she has been found. Awful for everyone involved, and I hope Madeleine is okay.

I notice the England cricket team were wearing yellow ribbons today. While I, of course, appreciate the symbolism behind these gestures, I can't help feeling there's a contrived, almost tacky, sentimentality about them. I don't know why I feel like this. It's probably just me.
Needless to say, I hope the little girl is safe and that there is a happy ending to this awful situation. I can't begin to comprehend the hell this family is going through.

Yes, at the risk of appearing an awful cynic, it's disconcerting to see so many "celebrities" queueing to get on this bandwagon, almost as though their agents have recommended it.

One can only hope that the large amount of reward money prompts someone to inform on the kidnapper(s).

None of it comforts the parents, I'm sure, who just want their baby back.
