As has been mentioned previously on here, I play swolf with Fyodor most Wednesdays.(A mixture of swearing and golf, with the former being the dominant element). One of the many rituals of the game is the naming of our putters. Over the years, these names have ranged from the rather mundane "Billy" to the more exotic "Johhny Thunder". Given that putting is a delicate part of the sport, "Johnny Thunder" is a ludicrous name. I hardly need tell you that this was one of Fyodor's putters and, after some more errant behaviour, it ended up being hurled into a bush just off the thirteenth green, never to be seen again. Last week, Fyodor showed up with a brand new putter, for which he'd paid out the princely sum of twenty five quid. (More than the cost of his entire wardrobe). It behaved much like the others, betraying him on several occasions. My suggestion that he name it "Harlot of the Links" was ignored. So there you go. That's your task for the next couple of days....come up with a name for Fyodor's putter.
