Title: Some Photos from Our Trip...
Post by: The Peepmaster on July 02, 2011, 09:46:26 AM
Here we are in the Far East again! Enjoying South Korea at the moment. Love Seoul - very modern and vibrant. Totally jet-lagged, and being surrounded by bars and restaurants that seem to stay open all night doesn't help!

Have bravely eaten a number of various dishes, but so far haven't a clue what any of them were. (Did recognise squid in one of them, though.) No-one speaks Englsh, and menus are in Korean, so that hasn't helped...

Anyway, first batch from Peepmaster...

And for those of us who would rather die than succumb to Facebook?

Okay - for Mince, I've uploaded to Picasa too...

Great photos, Nige. Did you talk to the caricaturist/artist?

I use the same kind of box easel when I do live caricature gigs.

Excellent piccies, Peepsie - looks like a fabulous place to visit. Shame that only two of the pictures feature you in them, but you do look very much at home sitting on that gold throne.

I didn't speak to the artist, I'm afraid. In fact there were 4 of them in a row, each with a different style.

To be honest, hardly anyone speaks any English, and it's very difficult to communicate. I don't speak Korean, and neither does Lucy, but she doesn't speak it better than me, so I leave that stuff to her. She is so good at organising everything and the perfect traveling companion.  :)

So, speaking slowly and loudly in English does not work then?
