In all these years, we have never talked about tea.
Please list 2 to 6 of your favourite teas and tell us how you take it: strong/weak sugar, lemon, milk, honey... do you use your Beau Peep mug or prefer a fine china cup & saucer? Do you prefer bags or loose leaf, do you like to make a single fresh cup or make a traditional pot? Do you use a cosy, if so what is the design? Do you have a set time or drink when the mood hits you?
What are your favourite nibbles with your cuppa?
-
Even the smell of tea makes me want to puke!
-
I imagine that you won't have a favourite then?
-
A cup (not mug) of tea, two sugar, no milk.
I don't eat biscuits, sweets or chocolate but I like my tea and coffee sweet and, in total, I have no more than three cups/mugs a day.
I am not a dunker and have lived a dunkless life.

You're just weird.
Tetley (Earl Grey at night), with milk but no sugar. I might have a biscuit with it.

Coffee.

If you don't have tea in a mug, who's the 'I' who has no more than three cups\mugs a day?
-
Cups of tea, mugs of coffee. I have a coffee in the morning, a cup of tea in the afternoon and a coffee at night.
-
This thread isn't as exciting as I had hoped it may be.

Well, at least you're not set in your ways! ;D
-
I have afternoon tea. strong, no sugar, a wee drop of milk, at home in a pot, then a mug or cup, always milk first. PG tips is my fave!
At work coffee, because the tea is so bad, vending stuff. I like a rich tea buscuit, I dunk.
Coffee in the morning. black no sugar. no snacks with coffee.
how did I do?
-
Coffee. More coffee. COFFEEEEEE!..... Sleep? Pah! Less coffee time.
-
Heaped spoon of Gold Blend, two teaspoons sugar, easy on the milk.
When I get out of bed.
With breakfast.
When I'm thinking what to do for the day.
With lunch.
If I get a phone call that I know is going to take longer than five minutes.
When I feel like one!
Two or three in the evenings.
Coffee-drinking visitors get offered Mocha, fresh from the espresso machine.
-
I like a nice hot cup of tea in an earthenware mug. (Except that it should be a glass, instead of a mug, and without a handle. Also, it has to be cold, not hot. Oh, and instead of tea, the contents should be beer; yes, a nice cold glass of beer.)

;D

;D
I'll sell you that gag, Roger.
-
Strong coffee, most often black but when I do have milk, lots of it.
The only time I have tea is if I'm feeling a little below par and then it's weak, no milk, no sugar.
Mince, don't tell me you have Earl Grey with milk...a connisseur such as you surely wouldn't mask the delicate flavour like that??
-
I mostly drink coffee too. Strong, french-pressed - columbian is my favourite but like the African blends too.
As for tea - I go through spurts. It is of course great for tea parties, I like good old round-bag Tetley if just making it in a mug... with a splash of milk. I also like Earl Grey, Honey-Lemon-Ginseng and a very mild tea from Dilmah (which is a fair trade brand) for when I am feeling under the weather. Celestial Seasonings makes an awsome spicey tea called Bengal Spice (it has a tiger on the box) - but you do have to be in the mood for it.
People in Canada expect to be offered a wide choice of teas (some that aren't even tea) I just counted and I have at least 33 different tea - some are only a sampler bag or two. You can sit and visit here and everyone is drinking a different type of tea.
It has been drying out here this week and the sun is out - the hay is being made - after all the rain we had it is quite a relief.
-
Only drink tea when I'm ill, dunno why it makes a difference, kinder to the tummy maybe?
Normally just Nescafe, half spoon sugar and Coffee mate.
Couple of times a week a cafetiere of Taylors Lava Java grade 6 coffee, especially on Mondays just to wake me up. ;D
-
See! Diane takes weak tea too when she's under the weather :)
-
Dilmah Ceylon tea in the afternoon and evening, usually 1 or 2 mugs. Made with tea bag (on the look out for a nice tea pot - if I find one, will maybe use leaves) and milk.
Coffee the rest of the time, made in a plunger (cafetiere) and drunk out of a large (the plunger is designated 3 cups and the coffee fits in my cup with milk perfectly). Usually have one at breakfast, mid-morning and after lunch, but will have a cappuccino or a long black with cold milk when I'm out and after dinner out.
Need to whinge about the latest trend in Australia - "high tea", offered by hotels and restaurants, it's the latest "thing". The meal to which they are referring is "afternoon tea". As most of you would know, high tea is a meal served around 5pm which usually includes a main course of something like fish and chips, lamb chops, sausages or the like, along with bread and butter, scones, cakes, etc, and of course, tea. At least, that's what it used to be, they probably don't serve it any more, but it really gets on my goollies (if I had some) when they call afternoon tea "high tea" here. Just one of my little foibles.
This is my coffee cup (one of them). Just playing with the webcam on my new laptop! ;D

Big, init? Oh, dear, I'm getting sad, in the sense of pathetic!

I'm an omnivore, I like Tetley or PG Tips, with milk and sugar. I do like a biscuit if the sun is over the yardarm, preferably a chocolate digestive or hob nob. I don't drink instant coffee, which is foul, I only drink properly made Espresso-based coffees like latte or cappuccino, and I am happy to make them myself if no cafe is in the vicinity. I never take a biscuit with coffee, only with tea.
