I used to love that TV series when I was a kid. I have been watching some of the old shows - love all that Hollywood type eastern wisdom.

These words of wisdom slightly pall when you know the guy's choice of when and where was a wardrobe!

Well for one thing “Caine” was a character in a TV series – David Carradine’s unfortunate choice of dangerous sexual practice that caused his death should not take away from the excellent actor that he was, nor should the rest of his life be judged in the balance of this one act.

Strange how people find out that that sort of thing makes them feel good. beggars belief to me.
I liked him some of his work, but he was a bit odd as circumstances have proven!
A nice glass of malt is good enough for me, all you need is a little water and no ropes or billiard balls.

Which bit beggars belief - the fact that some people are strange (that's me at the front of the queue) or that 'that sort of thing makes them feel good' - (the dying in a wardrobe or the knowing that someone died in a wardrobe?) ?

Loved the show. Carradine was completely convincing (though I was very young when it first came out).
Then again, I also loved The Incredible Hulk. My kid brother was doing a summer stint as a labourer, tarring roads back in the year it first aired. He came home one day to relay a conversation between two of his fellow workmates during lunch...
"Did you watch that Incredible Hulk programme on the telly last night?"
"Aye - it was great. Did you see that bit where he picked up the grizzly bear and threw him across the lake?"
"Yeah - that kind of thing takes all the realism out of it."
What would Master Po have to say about that, I wonder?

I remember a bloke once hurled a frisbee that unfortunately bounced off a passing Chinaman.
I also remember the response, "What kung fu that?".

I remember Kung Fu. It's quite dated of course, so much so that I remember Dickie Henderson doing jokes about it on the Mike and Bernie Winters show. One consisted of Dickie coming on throwing karate kicks and punches, hitting invisible opponents, before stopping, placing his hands together reverentially and saying "I come in peace".
I know, and I can't even remember what I had for dinner yesterday.
