...that when you walk on the snow it squeaks!
Conversation overheard between my 17 year-old son and hubby yesterday morning.
Steve: "I can't get the truck to start".
Hubby: "Did you have it plugged in?"
Steve: "No, the calf chewed through the extension wire".
Hubby: "Oh yes."
We didn't have conversations like that growing up in Wales.
It is much colder today than yesterday so they cancelled the school busses. This is known as a "Bus Day" which is a funny thing to call a day when there are no busses. I would like it to be renamed "No Bus Day" but it is so hard to bring about such large social changes.

Day 2 of bitter winter weather (-35C) has aligned with day 4 of my “back on track” salad diet. Not sure if I am going crazy with carb withdrawal or if I have cabin fever. If I had a wooden cabin, I would eat it so it may be a mix of both.

Time for my annual question...how are the moose?
-
They're cold.

:D

Soup's ok too, Diane. I'm sure a nice, warming stew would be ok. Just lay off the mashed tatties. Hope you're staying inside like I keep telling you! :)
-
I have been but I do have to venture out tomorrow.

Come on, Roger. You don't want Mince picking up on you. 1 Moose, 2 Mice. Or is that mooses?

Google home page announces that today is the 125th anniversary of the largest snowflake...found in your back yard, Diane?

I had to read the story (was trying not to as it seemed a bit silly) - it was only 15" in diameter - by the Google header it looked many times bigger than a cow.
-
It was a very small cow.
