Surely there's a word missing, rather than it being a punctuation error.

Agree that one cooks for a family, but what is wrong with kibble.

I would have thought it was a list of three things she finds inspiration in: cooking, her family and her dog.

Rather than merely finding inspiration in cooking for her family and her dog.

But then again, I don't have a dog, so perhaps I'm missing out on some inspiring dog-meal preparation moments.

Either way, the dog took off after seeing the cover.
