We tend to ignore Valentine's Day in my household, although we have been known to exchange scowls.

If I were to send t'other 'alf flowers, she'd suspect something was up as I never give flowers. The only ones have been silk roses brought back from the Falklands.

Girls like surprises, and I gave Lucy a whole chicken that the supermarket had reduced. She had absolutely no idea what was in the bag, and her face was a picture.
I think she was touched. I detected tears in her eyes as she found room for it in her freezer.

Between the scowls, dusty roses and going-off chicken, I see the spouses of Peepland have been spoiled once again this year.
I told my hubby, as he was leaving for work this morning, not to buy me flowers as I would rather have bags of dirt (potting soil) and not to worry as I just picked up three big bags of the stuff on Sunday.

Girls do not like surprises, Peeps. I came home with a motorbike I bought myself one day, much to the total surprise of the good lady. Not even a smile. Women are strange at times. ..0

Maybe the side-car was too tiny? Women are very precious about bottom size etc.
Or, (if she's petite), perhaps the accompanying goggles weren't very fashionable.

The goggles were fine, I think the size of my helmet may have thrown her a bit though...
