I love old b/w B-movies, schlock horror...anything with acting you could outdo yourself and wow, has there been some corny lines in some (if not all) of them. "Hell's Rain" today, beat them all.
The scene.
Trapped survivors under rubble from a meteor storm, a fractured gas main filling the space they are in. The gas concentration rising to deadly levels. Enter our fire dept hero, to save the day. His chum awaiting to send the guys in when the gas valve is shut.
Female heroine..." Send your men in now. These people are gonna die."
Hero's chum..."I can't. It's too dangerous. The valve ain't shut yet and the levels are still rising."
Female heroine..."Send them in now. We can't wait."
Hero's chum..."Lady, he's in there, one fart away from blowing this place."
I can picture the script writer chuckling at getting that line into the film.
Must dash, the horror channel is now showing "Dinocroc v Supergator". Quality Sunday.
;D
Ooooooo...just noticed, David Carradine is in this one. Carlsberg don't do Sunday's, but if they did...

What a good and safe way to learn about the differences between crocodiles and alligators.
Sunday nights are for The Walking Dead – followed by Chris Hardwick’s Talking Dead – The Governor is back tonight! I know about this because my daughter gives me a couple of countdowns every weekend. “Only 37 more hours until The Walking Dead” for example.

Only finished series one a wee while back and Santa will be bringing my good lady series 2 and 3 for Christmas. I will be making time to watch them...I have to admit to being a bit hooked on them.
I also have to watch Supernatural with my daughter. The music in it is superb...the acting, not quite so. ..0

Oh, I hope I didn’t give away a huge spoiler there Mr. Buttcheeks. Thinking back, it may not have been that same Governor at all – might have just been somebody who looked like him – these guys in black eye patches look a lot the same don’t they.

I often throw this trivia question at unsuspecting people (i.e. people who don't suspect I'm a dick):
What line does John Wayne most use in his movies? - (Clue: it is never used by his imitators).
Naturally, you'll get "the hell I will" and such.
The answer is "I'm gonna move that toe". It's from Wings Of Eagles, where Wayne is paralyzed after a heroic, er....fall down the stairs at home.
I brought this up a few years ago, when there was no vid available. Now there is.
