1. I can't believe x-factor is finished already. I wonder when the next series is?
2. Isn't gas and electricity cheap these days.
3. Aren't the hoards of xmas shoppers so polite?
4. There aren't enough celebrity programmes on the tv, you know.
5. Of course I'm looking forward to your mum coming for xmas dinner, dear.

We had a four hour power outage tonight – the Sunday roast only got about 40 minutes in the oven when it happened – should be cooked by 11 PM now. Anyway, sitting in the cold and the dark makes electricity seem like a bargain. I don’t know how the pioneers managed in the winters.

The same ice storm that took out our power also twisted the nearest data tower (didn’t work for us when we tried a couple of years ago) now they are putting in a new one, 30’ taller so we may be in luck for reasonably priced high speed by the new year. Fingers crossed.

I phoned them today on the off chance of updated service availablity, because my dial-up service is done at the end of January either way. I may be on here more (more photies!) or less depending on fate. Fate is off to a good start taking out that tower one day after my cancelation of service letter arrived though.
