Just stopped by to see if anybody watched/took note of the Superbowl this weekend.
I recall that back in the day there was really just myself and Seattle Kate who took any interest in it. I'm a Bears supporter, thus doomed to seemingly inevitable failure year upon year. However, this weekend the Seattle Seahawks not only won the Superbowl, but totally annihilated the opposition whilst doing so. It may have come a few years too late for Kate, but I was rooting for them on her behalf (which is a little bizzare considering we never actually met or anything) and I was delighted with the result. Congrats to the Seahawks; Kate would have no doubt been chuffed to bits. And probably gloating and rubbing my face in it.

I was just the same, Jack, when I saw the result yesterday morning. Her memory lives on and that's how it should be.

Ditto to the previous comments.
By the way, has anyone noticed that the two States represented at the Superbowl, Washington and Colorado, are also the only two U.S. States to legalise marijuana? At least both sets of supporters who watched from home on TV could marvel at the pretty colours.

So that's why they play on AstroTurf? There's no spare grass.

Bravo! Bravo! ;D
I'm delighted Seattle took the honours, in memory of Kate, whom I never 'met' here, but was obviously held in very high and fond esteem.
Beyond that, however, as the say in the States, frankly, my dear...
Then again, we have our own oval ball game going on here right now, with huge excitement as Scotland battles England for this year's wooden spoon! Yay!
