Just going over my grandson's maths homework with him. They're still giving out those "what if" questions that I never did see the point of. If a car coming towards you is travelling at 57 MPH and a car coming from behind you is travelling at 41 MPH what is their average speed? Never mind their average speed, what the hell are you doing standing in the road? Give me fractures any time!

:) :D ;D ;D :D :) Maths is such a laugh!
Isn't it?

Tell your grandson to ask what angle the cars approach from, to what degree of accuracy the mph values are, and how they could be kept steady (given junctions, traffic lights), and whether their speeds are considered scalar quantities or vector quantities.

He's only just turned two, but I'll give it a go...

Does it matter, the speed? It's not as if crashes will be around for much longer !

Can you still be done for drunk driving, if you're not in control of the vehicle?
PS. This is from my Controls 4 class at Uni. They're trying to get us to understand the control systems for this stuff ! Some chance ! I used to hit things with a hammer for a living !! 😂
