So pleased for you. Well done! I would curtsy before your avatar but not sure I could get back up again ;D

Thank you all.
I am, shall be, and always will be, just another Buttcheek. ;D
Been a tough three years, during which I have been hit with a large slice of what would probably be called "just life". The Honours year has included a job change and then subsequent unemployment, and then re-employment. We then had the wrench of putting old Ma-in-Law Buttcheeks into a dementia home, and my own fathers frailty sees him now being "made comfortable" by staff as he rapidly approaches the great unknown. I had hoped he would see me graduate on the 29th, but I fear he wont even be here to tell.
But such is life. If there is anything I have learned of late, it is the importance of family and friends and the part they play in the grand scheme. The great Mrs Buttcheeks has kept the household running for the last 3yrs as I selfishly devoted myself to study. The kids (well, adults) have played not an insignificant part in helping also, and without a great, great study group of now firm friends, Uni would have been an unachievable dream. Even distractions such as this wonderful site, and those on it, have eased the pain of long hard days and nights of edyookayshun.
So thank you one and all again, and know that you all played a part in my achievement, in one way or another.

Professor Buttcheeks or Anything to you.

Forgot to say, I also qualified as a BSAC Ocean diver...the first step in the ladder of BSAC diving qualifications. I now look forward to the lofty depths of "Sports diver". I'm not quite sure what the difference is, but I await the day soon when the water will part before my greatness and subsequently render my diving not quite so much fun. I'm hoping that my new qualification will allow me to seem like some sort of Dr Doolittle to the marine life and that they will recognise me as friendly and come and gather around me, accompanying me on my underwater adventures.
I may have had too much caffeine today. :-[

Nice hat! Seems to me you have endured and even prospered in some ways my friend, and that's not difficult to understand given the character you have shown here so many times. Now I just have to lose the image of the denizens of the deep sitting in an aquatic auditorium listening to Professor Buttcheeks lecture on all things adventurous! Try not to confuse the two achievements, you'd look infinitely silly walking down the high street encased in rubber [although that might not be as true as I imagine] and infinitely sillier diving in mortar board and robe.

So close to the truth, Red. I found out today that there will indeed be a silly walk down the street! Apparently, although the graduation is in the Royal Concert Hall, the gowns are delivered to the Uni. So there are going to be lots of silly looking people doing about a quarter mile in their "goons" as they move between sites.
Outrageous.
I think I'll get a taxi !!
;D

Don't you dare! Get out there and walk with the rest of them, you earned it, now shout it out! Nuff said.

Congrats Prof Butcheeks - what are you a professor of?

Funny walks!
