Some idiot is playing it on loud from another garden. I feel like playing Yes, Gates of Delirium to them.

Nah Mincey, go for 21st Century Schizoid Man by King Crimson or Groon from their live album. Crank it up! (y)

Should have sent your gardener chappies around there to remonstrate with the ingrates, that's what Laird Roger would have done...

I have heard and absolutely love Epitaph, which Marillion half-nicked for their 17-minute Grendel song. Having said that, many think King Crimson may themselves have stolen the song from an Italian group, though their name eludes me.

Do you think Laird Roger also has some lackeys secretly working on his Beau Peep strips?

Bound to, there will be one to hold the pencil in the corner of the Lairds mouth while he's thinking [probably two, working shifts], and one to move the paper around as he writes, mindful of sprained wrists.   Maybe a wee one crouched on the desk to wipe the Laird's furrowed brow...handy for the chimney cleaning too.

Perhaps we could get Rob to do some research, see if the strips got funnier at any point?

You're postulating that Beau Peep became funnier once Roger started using lackeys?

Oh right, so on the extremely remote chance Roger might not get that particular insinuation, you had to make it clearer, thus destroying the very subtle doubt the reference created and from which the [brilliant] humour was derived...words fail me...   For your information I haven't postulated since I discovered "Sudocrem", the cream of champions.

I wouldn't go that far.

the very subtle doubt the reference created and from which the [brilliant] humour was derived

Again, I wouldn't go that far.

I definitely wouldn't go that far.
