Who's up for one?
-
I'm thinking of putting up our fake xmas tree this week. Not decorating it of course that would be too early.
-
My present employer have the Christmas Bash in October, while my previous employer had theirs
in February.......so when where you thinking?
Yes, I know......Christmas!
If the as yet to be suggested date works, then yep, count me in. (y)

Well, we'd all have to fit in with whenever Roger is available, who will most likely come by bicycle and so we'll probably have to fit in with the wherever as well.
-
Has the sedan chair got a puncture then?
Any time, any place, anywhere...sorry - I'm washing my hair.
-
I'm game !
-
So Mincy.......what's the plan?
-
Getting home from this stupid airport is the plan at the moment.
-
What's the stupid airport done now? ..0
-
It's been stupid for a start.
Now back in England where they know how to treat you proper: stuck in a bus for ages inhaling jet fuel fumes.
-
Erm...welcome home! ???
-
Finally home, with a pile of reassuringly junk, redundant and impertinent post.
-
Oh - was it your birthday while you were away?
-

I never sent you any post.

Were they vegetarian fumes?

Anyway, I'm back, still vegan (mostly), reading Hornblower, and up for a get-together. Anyone have any ideas?
-
I've got lots of ideas.
-
Get together sounds fun, sadly most of you live on the big Island, us poor folks live on the little one next door, and given cost and lack of employment I'll have to give it a miss this time around. I'll stay home and wash one of my socks, always a Christmas treat.

That's great! I think we need at least a hundred or so to get the ball rolling. Anyone else have any?
-
I've got three.
-
Unfortunately, I live in the USA - so can't make a chrimbo get together - but I will be there in spirit. :) 8)

There's one just round the corner from where I live.

Will you be voting Punch or Judy?
Does that work in the USA?

I live in San Diego Roger - work up in Los Angeles. I am from Mid Cragie originally though - and used to jaunt over to your neck of the woods across the Tay Bridge every weekend when I was a nipper. It was a long walk - but it was an adventure in and of itself. :) been in California since the 1990s except for a brief sojourn back to old blighty to do a Masters (again, in fife) and then a law degree in the hated South Scotland area where London lives.
-
I've never made it to the West coast, Malc---only as far as Montana/Wyoming/Colorado. It must have been a huge culture shock for you, moving from the sophistication of Dundee to the backwoods of Los Angeles.

Sorry Egg - just saw this. Despite being here since 1990 - I haven't actually taken citizenship yet - so I cannot vote - but I would not have voted for either. I don't buy into the "people died so you can vote" guilt trip - and neither candidate was up to par. We have Trump now though - and it's funny just watching the mass lamentations of people "what do I tell my kids?" etc... He'll do just fine, but it's a bit like electing Colonel Escargot.....
