The book I'm currently writing (which, I'm confident, will be available in 20-25 years) involves a fair amount of research into the history of the Old West. Honestly, it's going to be humorous but I will be covering some of the darker days of that period. I won't bore you with the details but one of the incidents I cover is the "Sand Creek Massacre"---a horrific, almost genocidal act in the Indian Wars. One of the guys involved was called Morse Coffin. Now that is just one great name.

Excellent name, but it's no Sandy Buttcheeks (who,by all accounts, indulges in his own Sand Creek Massacre whenever it gets too hot and he runs out of the cream).

I have over 200 books about the Old West, in general, and Custer, in particular. And, yes, I've read them all.

But it was really the assault at my Horseshoe Bend that ended up causing the battle of Big Hole!
