Title: Please explain some things to a newcomer
Post by: Calypso on September 17, 2007, 12:10:32 AM
What is the purpose of this board?

What are the requirements of membership?

Does one need to be ruthlessly insane or just moderately nuts to post here?

What is the purpose of this board?

It's purpose is to insult all new members, you imbecile.

What are the requirements of membership?

There are none as far as I can tell. You don't need to be able to spell, and it's okay not to support Dundee United.

Does one need to be ruthlessly insane or just moderately nuts to post here?

Er . . . well, which one are you?

Being called an imbecile by a prancing Christmas pie made of chopped-up rotten dog food doesn't really have much of an insult-impact on me.

What are/is Dundee United? Is it something organized by the crocodile-man?

Spelling mistakes irritate me.

Er . . . well, which one are you?

Is that a trick question?

What is the purpose of this board?

Purpose is very much overrated.

I like to think that Beau Peep notice board works on an equal opportunity policy.

I wasn't being pompous. It was just an aside I thought worth mentioning.

I can't be bothered to look just now,  but with my new admin status, can I delete this entire forum on my own, or do we all have to have our fingers on the red buttons at the same time?

I feel like a lemming, teetering at the top of the cliff. The compulsion to jump is almost irresistible....

You didn't close your inverted commas, Peepsie.

Got him worried Vulture. I knew new members would help to quieten their more grander designs.

Just the one, Pete?

From little acorns mighty oaks do grow. One is only the first of many.

Your spelling improves dramatically during profundity.

Your spelling improves dramatically during profundity.

No only when Mince is not looking over my shoulder.
I feel that at some stage I have to side with my sibling.

When I do not know but I am sure it will happen. possible when he allows me to moderate.

Dreaming.
I am always dreaming

It was meant to be offspring - he just spelt it wrongly.

Only 4 of you noticed my deliberate mistake. Must be slipping.
In my dictionary sibling:- one who has a parent or an ancestor in common with another. Well my mum is minces gran therefore an ancestor of mine is also a ancestor of Mince QED.

Yes, Peter. But your mum is not Mince's mum so you cannot be siblings.

I'd be very wary of that dictionary, Peter. Where was it published - the Isle of Bute?

Yes but she is a ancestor to both of us

Yes, but you are next in line to your mother and Mince is once removed. Mince is NOT, in any way, shape or form, a sibling of yours.
