Title: He hasn't spotted it yet
Post by: Mince on September 18, 2007, 09:31:36 AM
It's nearly twelve hours since I did it and he hasn't spotted it yet.

And, no, I am not talking about the growing beard, bushier eyebrows and red eyes on Roger's avatar.

How long did it take you to find out how to change it?

I don't know. I didn't think to use a stop-watch. Just went straight to "Modify", as any normal person with a brain might do.  ::)

Look at the board description for Outpourings. It's changed three times already.

Ah! I thought it might be something interesting. How quaintly puerile!

Oh, aren't we the egotistic, know-it-all, la-di-da, overbearing, I'm-all-stuck-up, snooty, snotty, up-yer-nose, smug, smarty-pants, pompous, swaggering, mr-puffed up, superior, oh-we're-not-worthy, uppity, up-yer-bum, high-an-mighty . . . . git.

Tarquin, you've used exactly the right word to describe Mince!

He'll take that as a compliment, and wear it as a badge of honour amongst his school kids.  ::)

Mince is an adult? I thought he was Peter's pre-teen son who just liked to play around on his father's message board. Sorry, my mistake.

It's complicated, Calypso. Perhaps we should just leave it at that?

Oh. I see. Sorry I mentioned it.

I think Calypso deserves to know the truth.

Peter found Mince under a gooseberry bush about six years ago and has been nurturing him, somewhat like a hothouse plant. Peter was hoping to 'bring him on' slowly and steadily into adult-hood but was over generous with the fertiliser and every now and again, some s**t escapes, hence the post at 12.07.17!

Poor Peter. I suspect each time he spies a gooseberry bush these days he shudders in horror.

I think he's probably looking for a big enough bush to be able to put Mince back!

Maybe he should just farm him out to another hothouse plant specialist.

Too late - they won't touch him. Advanced stages of chronic mildew, y'see.

Attack of the Aphids. He's been watching too much Doctor Who.

I think you do not appreciate the time and effort it took too get him this far.
I would not like to use to much chemicals when feeding the results could be a bout of correction coming from Mince.
He could get picky about grammar or other problems.

???  I don't understand.  Doctor Who? What is that? Is it one of your quirky gardening programs?

Utterly fascinating stuff.
I did watch Ground Force to get help with the planting. Tommy Walsh was a brilliant tutor giving me plenty of advise as to how to check his levels and making sure I gave him a good foundation.
Charley Dimmocks points were well received. No help with Mince.
