Title: Strange habits?
Post by: Diane CBPFC on March 30, 2023, 12:26:27 AM: You know how those macho gun people rapidly reassemble their riffles on TV shows and movies? I like to do that with the 8 pieces that make up my blender after it has been washed.

I do the same with my rotary cheese grater (some very satisfying 'clicks'), and especially when reassembling my Morphy Richards cordless hoover after replacing filters and emptying the dust-filled thingy.

Then you stand in front of the mirror and say "Do you feel lucky, Punk...?", or "Are you talkin' to ME...?".

I get to strip it down and get to clean it all with hot water and specialist brushes.
Happens around once a month, gives me something to look forward to.

Do NOT like cleaning my halogen oven, it's icky and greasy (sounds like a cheaper version of Itchy and Scratchy too).

Ah, the exciting spirit of retirement lives on .
