Title: February 29
Post by: Diane CBPFC on February 28, 2008, 04:38:29 PM
What are you going to do with your extra day this year?

I don't think it is fair that people have to work on February 29 - all have us have scrimped and saved up our quarter of a day over the past three years to make up this special day - it should be a holiday for everyone I say!

You are completely right I think you should go and climb up onto parliamentary building and have a protest. Best time to do it is tomorrow to get best impact.but that does mean working on your holiday.

I'm keeping clear of birds. No way do I want to get hitched again.

I'm with you there, Peeps. I tried it once and decided that once was definitely enough!

Talking of birds their was a man at the local market who was showing 2 buzzards two barn owls  2 tawny owls a little owl a red tailed buzzard all being fed dead chicks.
one of the buzzards sat with its wings spread as though it was just going to take off.we were able to get within a foot of it it looked glorious.

Sounds like he'd done quite well. Did he get any money as well? Was the bird sanctuary for the poor little chicks?

;D ;D ;D Certainly sounds like he had enough to take back with him.

No, I'm on about the non-feathered kind, Peter. Being inundated with that kind of bird isn't always pure joy, let me tell you.

Actually Peepmaster, acting as your cyber council, women can propose all year long during leap year ? if you turn them down you have to kiss them and/or buy them a new silk dress or a pair of gloves. It is only on February 29 ?Bachelors Day? that you can turn them down without the kiss and/or dress or gloves.

You have another 306 days to hide! Better pucker up and buy a few cases of those magic mini gloves what with all the babes that are after you.

There is nothing smutty about magic minni gloves in Canada, you can buy a pair of gloves that stetch to fit an adult for 99c. which would be about 50p.
They come in assorted colours...I'm just making this worse for myself aren't I...

I wasn't reacting to the gloves. I was thinking about there still being 306 days left to fend them off!

I hear that's where the Hide & Seek champion came from.
