Extracts from the 1955 guide:
1. Have dinner ready. Plan ahead, even the night before, to have a delicious meal ready, on time, for his return
2. Prepare yourself. Take 15 minutes to rest so you'll be refreshed when he arrives. Touch up your make-up, put a ribbon in your hair and be fresh-looking
3. Be happy to see him. Greet him with a warm smile and show sincerity in your desire to please him
4. Your goal: Try to make sure your home is a place of peace, order and tranquility where your husband can renew himself in body and spirit
5. Don't complain if he's late home for dinner or even if he stays out all night. Count this as minor compared to what he may have gone through that day
6. Catering for his comfort will provide you with immense personal satisfatcion

Ha ha! Sound advice. Standards have dropped since those days.
I'll show that to Lucy later. She's in the kitchen washing up at the moment. (I invited her over for the night).

Thanks for the advise.Hope you dont mind, I changed it a bit. Im keeping it simple!
Re: Useful advise for the the Peepmaster to keep your burd
1. Have a delicious meal ready on time when I arrive. ( Do'nt expect me to do the washing up later! )
2. Be happy to see ME
3. Your goal: Make sure that ALL my needs are catered for
I think 3 step for now is enough , Im open to suggestion tho, so feel free to add anything.

Gosh.

I think she's in a bit of a huff because when she just came and sat beside me while I was wearing my reading glasses, I commented that she looked better blurred.
It was no big deal, and I wasn't being offensive, but it seems those few words have upset her. I'm not going to check the washing-up until the morning now...
-
Nige, should anything happen to you, do you want me to avenge your death?
-
It should be okay, Roger. I'm going to tell her she doesn't look too bad in focus, and try and make it up. She's in the other room. It can be hard work pleasing a woman. ::)

I think you have problems in the other direction: i.e. not pissing her off in the first place.
-
???
Anyway, I'm going to make it up by selling her a mug.

Peeps, Peeps.... I don't know how many women you've p****d off in your life (so far..), but you obviously don't learn from your mistakes. :( :( :(

Lucy, I think you have the steps in the wrong order. Step 3 should be the first and ultimate priority; the rest should be just part of this priority. :)

To add to her rapidly increasing collection.

I'm suspecting blurred may now be a common thing....... AFTER SHE'S BEATEN THE C*** OUT OF YOU!
Go lucy... Go girl!!
