Where has Diane, the giver of North American wisdom, gone?
-
Diane is the child of N. American Indian tribal shamans Sitting Bull and Running Bear.
Her full name is Sit Run Diane.
Thank you very much...
-
Fyodor - your recently acquired computer expertise has obviously made Diane feel unworthy of sharing the board with the likes of you. Maybe if you pretended not to know what you are talking about some of the time, she might be persuaded back. :D Oh Look, I can do lime green too!
-
It is a puzzle that she suddenly disappeared once we'd started the new board... In fact, I seem to remember she was still posting on the old board for a while. Maybe her browser doesn't work with this one.
-
Diane's last post on the old forum was Sat Dec 09, 2006 7:42 pm.
She posted: "I wondered why it was so quiet here this week – I see everyone has been partying at the new board. The new site seems much more of a boys club with the levels of drunkenness for membership posts etc. Take care all and have a Merry Christmas."
-
What could she have meant? Seems like someone's put her nose out of joint...
-
Perhaps you are inferring something she did not imply. I did offer to change the glasses to teddy bears.
-
Diane, Elizabeth says if I pretend not to know what I'm talking about, you might be persuaded back to the board. Pretend?
-
My sister emailed Diane in December. Apparently, she's up to her eyes in a Canadian winter, doing a million things and leaving her little time for the computer. I still haven't told her that she won the Christmas competition and, while this saves me the Transatlantic postage, my guilt will kick in soon. If she doesn't sign in within the next couple of years, I'll get in touch. Only joking. I miss her and will try to coax her back.
-
I quite liked reading Diane's posts... if you get a petition up to pursuade her to join the new forum (if her reason isn't the canadian weather), please add Wild West Will to it!!!
-
Did everyone like my Citroen Diane joke?
-
If liking involves a facial expression akin to that elicited by sucking a lemon, then I thoroughly enjoyed it, Malky, yes.
-
Malky, you have to remember I know even less about cars than I do about computers. My wife has one but I have no idea what make it is. It looks like a wheelie bin.
-
It looks like a wheelie bin.
Sounds like she's got a Citroen Diane then!

-
Ahhh - they don't make 'em like that any more, thank goodness.
-
I've just asked. Apparently, it's a Vauxhall Agila.
-

You sure she didn't say Ford Anglia?
-
Didn't Jasper Carrot refer to the car as an "upturned corrugated pram on wheels"? He said vegetarians drove them because they could not go fast enough to kill anything.
-
Lost count of the really nice girls I knew at college who drove those. The seats were dismountable and you could take them out to sit on at picnics, and the handbrake was on the steering column.
-
I'm only slightly disappointed that there isn't a topic wondering where I am.
Okay, I'm over it now.
-
Hi Guys,
I'm here - just joined to board today. Thanks for missing me Fyodor, Roger and Tom.
-
My day is complete! Welcome back, Diane...Elizabeth kept the side up but was hit by a green lime....guess at least that was more foodie fashionable than lemon. How are thigs in the frozen North?
-
Welcome back, Diane! ;D
-
Hi Diane. Welcome back to the board! It was getting dull without the
drivel links to internet surveys, puzzles and interesting posts you were making.
When do we get the next one? ;D
-
I missed you too, Diane, whoever you are. Welcome back!
-
Yeh, me too. Welcome back Diane ;D
-
Welcome back Dianne. I was not a long-term member of the last board (mostly because I was the one who made everyone jump ship), but I did enjoy reading through all those internet marvels you seemed to amass so effortlessly.
-
I'm only slightly disappointed that there isn't a topic wondering where I am.
Oh, you're back. I honestly thought we'd got rid of you.
-
Welcome back Diane - actually I was the first person to ask where you were on this board, but I'm used to being outshone by Fyodor, so I'll forgive you for not noticing... :'(
Seriously though - great to see your name again. (And yours too Jack!) Now I will just sink back into anonymity (albeit with a lime green tinge)
-
DIANE! JACK,BABY!!!
-
Hurrah! Hurrah! Hurrah! Hello again Diane.
By the way, Elizabeth, the furthest thing from my mind was to outshine you. I rarely attempt the impossible.
-
Do you like Roger's new beard, Diane?
-
OH MY GOD! MINCE! YEAH!
-
Actually, I think I'm getting too big-headed for my own good here, so I think it's time I took a break from the board.
-
So, what happened while I was away? Did you all miss me?
-
In a manly sort of way.

Mystery solved, Roger. Misplaced ESP.
-
LOL! :D
-
Thank you all for the welcome backs. :) I got sidetracked reading posts and fiddling with buttons and forgot to post on this thread earlier. This site sure has all the bells and whistles.
Remember when Jack and I were first learning html ? we thought we were cool just doing links. Ahh, the good old days.

Remember when Jack and I were first learning html ? we thought we were cool just doing links. Ahh, the good old days.
And you haven't aged a bit!
-
I'll have you know I was perfectly capable posting links in html! I was simply helping others out in their efforts to do the same, whilst also moaning that the board lacked the much more convenient system that this forum uses.
So There.
-
Hi Jack! ;) 8)
-
Hope you're not attempting to hijack this thread.
-
Jack - I think I saved those instruction links - but the good news for you is that my filing system stinks so we will go with your version. :D
