Och no, hoots, mon. (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/7346733.stm)
-
But it's possible to hike and trek all over the highlands without the prospect of being chased by wolves or eaten by bears. What happens to hiking and camping if large predators are re-introduced?
Canada is the size of a continent, but Scotland is only a wee toty country. Populate some silly arse's estate with predators and they will spill over and eat campers in the neighbouring areas.
Like Independence, it's a nice idea, but no.
James the I and VI was a historical fact and so was the demise of the wolves and bears. Let it be.

And for those who say it'll be safe, and they'll be fenced in, I have two words...
JURASSIC PARK! :o

JURASSIC PARK! :o
Are you saying that someone might want to steal an animal and make money by selling it to a rival company?
-
If that's your interpretation of Jurassic Park, then possibly. ::)
-
Well, the chaos interpretation was rubbish. Not every system is chaotic, and not every chaotic system is able to produce all possible outcomes.
The only thing I learned from Jurassic park is don't allow any one person to hog the programming.
-

Nice one, Tarquin. ::)

How about 'the b*ggers might escape' interpretation?
-
Oh, that one! Well, why didn't you say!
-
Oh, that one! Well, why didn't you say!
All together now... ::)
-
Well, why didn't you say!
That'll be a question, will it?
-
When they reintroduced wolves in Yellowstone Park, they neglected to tell the little doggies to "STAY!". The wolves are now roaming round Wyoming and Montana, dining on ranchers' cattle.

They're playing West Brom tonight, Roger. The big local derby. It's on 5-Live if you're fascinated...
I agree, Tarquin. Mince forgot his question mark. ::)
-
No, he didn't.
-
As we were the people who extinguished them from this country through vanity we should be the ones to put it right.
The wolf was top predator and when they were killed the top predator was the fox.
So if we reintroduced it they would get the fox population down and we could stop fox hunting in its tracks

The wolf ...
Ah! I thought you meant question marks. Sorry.
-
I've got my fingers crossed for a Wolves win.
-
They'll kill 'em!
-
They'll kill 'em!
Well they might commit the odd foul...
-
Well, why didn't you say!
That'll be a question, will it?
That was a retort!
-
I seem to remember Mince pulling someone up about failure to use a question mark recently... ::)
Wolves v West Brom is 0-0 at half-time, by the way. (For Diane's benefit).
-

You said that I "forgot" to use a question mark, and I said that I didn't.
-
It was a deliberate brain malfunction. There's a word for that...
Oh, yes...stupid!
-
I prefer "coolly rebellious . . . with shades".
-
wolves lost
-
wolves lost
I don't think anyone's particularly interested in that, Peter. We're talking about Mince's double-standards now.
-
Mince has never had a double in his life he's to mean to buy one.
-
Has he got any good points, Peter?

:D :D :D :D

By the way, I believe the plural of "moose" is "moosii".
-
By the way, I believe the plural of "moose" is "moosii".
As in... 'Here, moosii, moosii'?
-
Has he got any good points, Peter?
That is a good question . I will ruminate on it .
-
By the way, I believe the plural of "moose" is "moosii".
I thought it was "mise".
