I have driven since I was 17. Nearly 30 yrs of non ticket, non police intervention, non bumps, non everything. I consider myself to be a good and lawful driver. I have never had a job, until now, that my clean license was important for.
So here's what has happened...and don't laugh. I was coming up to a speed trap, a cyclist in front of me, a silver Peugeot some way behind. I overtook the cyclist, circa 35mph, and then slowed to 30 as I hit the, by now closer, speed trap. I noticed in the mirror, the cyclist putting on a finishing line spurt, and the silver Peugeot much closer. As I neared the end of the trap...a double flash. The buttcheeks car was filled with profanities. My good lady who likes to keep an eye on my speed for some reason, assured me I was at 30mph. I reckon, the bugger on the bike set it off, and I'm hoping that my car is out the pic. The second flash I'm sure, was the other car, but I'm now crapping it that I might get falsely done for speeding.
Bloody cyclist. I'm sure he meant it.

If you know you were at 30, just challenge it. Ask for the evidence.
