Just been watching a program about pine martens in Ireland
Whilst in Scotland on holiday we watch a pine marten from a lady's kitchen window for a good five minutes.
Has any of you seen pine martens live.
i would like to know

Oh, yes - mid 80's at Dundee Students' Union. Great gig! Oh, hang on...that was the Housemartins. Sorry, no.

Strangely enough, Peter, I've only seen a dead one. It had been hit by a car near where I used to live in The Highlands. A very impressive creature. I grew up surrounded by all sorts of amazing wildlife and took it for granted but I've seen golden eagles, ospreys, adders, deer, foxes and even a wildcat. Back then, as a kid, it all seemed mundane---now I realise how unbelievably lucky I was.

We've just come back from a splendid day out at West Midlands Safari Park. Sadly, no pine martens, but this fellah asked us to pass on his regards...

He's got some neck - he's not even a member!
-
I wondered if I was very fortunate to see them, it would seem that I was.
-
Aren't they related to polecats? Not giraffes, pine martens.
I'm going to Google Images to see one.
-
Was this yours, Roger?

Did anyone see Dragons' Den this week, where two young entrepreneurs were trying to persuade the Dragons to invest in their 'cuddly roadkill' toys - fluffy rabbits, cats, dogs and others, with all their bits stitched together haphazardly. Sheer genius! Sadly, the visionary Dragons let themselves down badly, and couldn't see the potential. This one will come back to haunt them!

Come on, Vult - they're adorable! They should sell them next to kid's dressing-up vet's and nurse's uniforms.

I couldn't expect anything less from someone who likes football!

Oh yes! The Championship season starts TODAY! Come on Wolves. Don't let me down again!

The same old cry from a fan and the same old results from the wolves

I went to the Calgary Zoo on Friday - the flamingos were either fighting or mating.
We just happened to be there on the day the the baby elephant Malti celebrated her first birthday.
As it was one of the luckiest days in the asian calendar, I rubbed the belly of the new elephant god statue, Ganesh:

I was lucky... he didn't topple over - he weighs 8000lbs
Oh, I didn't see any Pine Martins.
-
I thought that was a statue of Mince at first glance. Obviously, nobody's going to create a statue of a complete nonentity, so it was quite an absurd notion.

I think Ganesh liked you rubbing his belly.
