Wrong Advice for Women?
« on: June 09, 2009, 12:24:28 PM »
Looking at today's marvelous Andy Capp strip, I was just wondering if Roger wasn't giving wrong advice out. I seem to remember when my ex wife was laying the patio, she put the slabs down on a bed of sand, not gravel.

Why a 'bad' of sand - why not a 'good' of sand?  ???  :P

It sounds like your ex-wife is a very sensible woman Nige.

She's lovely. Her slab-laying isn't perfect by any means, but once we had a few pots and containers dotted about, the imperfections weren't too noticeable. A proper builder would have charged a bomb, so it made sense.
