I really don't know why you only take a week off, Roger. I've said this before, but, with the work you do, and the scope of the internet, I'd be living and working out there for 6 months a year! You just need to become competent in using a computer, and have an internet connection - it's as simple as that.

Nige, for me, the joy of going to Portugal or Montana has a lot to do with NOT working. I'm not sure I could discipline myself to the necessary routine in either of those places if I was living there for any length of time. I love Montana, Wyoming etc. because of the freedom of moving around all the places I want to see and having a few beers and a nice meal in the evening. Having to work would take away the magic and I really can't see me sitting at the Little Bighorn, writing Andy Capp strips. Maybe in a couple of years when I cut back on my workload. Or when Spielberg gets round to "Beau Peep--The Movie".

Welcome back Roger, glad to hear you had a nice relaxing time.  Did you get any golfing in?
When I win the Lottery I'm going to buy a big villa overlooking the sea near Praia da Luz or San Rafael and everyone here (even Mincey) is invited to come over. Just bring a bottle and a bird.

Great photo, Rob. That's an almost identical view to the one from that beach restaurant I rave about.

Thought you'd recognise it Roger! They do some great swordfish in that restaurant. The slope back up to the car park is a bit treacherous after a few vinos though..

Shame that flippin' great rock's in the way.

Be honest, Roger - you couldn't live there because you'd miss your darling little Dundee Uniteds.
Nostalgia is not what it used to be. 😟

You're right, Nige. How could I possibly leave these shores when United have today signed Jennison Myrie-Williams from Bristol City reserves?
