Wildlife Tours :-)
« on: August 26, 2009, 06:54:47 PM »
Yesterday I saw seven whitetail deer, three black bears (a Mama and two cubs) and picked up an eagle feather at the lake. Monday morning there was a coyote in the yard standing 10' from the chicken pen.

I should start up wildlife tours!

People will come from strange lands to hear me speak my words of wisdom. They will ask me the secret of life and I will tell them. Then maybe I'll finish off with a song. The Nomad

Do you have any Peepmasters or other fungi on the tour?

Thank you, Diane. He swam into that one, didn't he!

Diane, are there rattlesnakes in Alberta? I certainly know that, just South of you in Montana, they are abundant. (As the warning signs in many areas tell you). The wildlife in North America is pretty spectacular. I read a Montana newspaper online and I always love the little headlines that appear from time to time.  Stuff like "Grizzly Shot By Police Near Trailer Park" and "Rancher Loses Four Cattle To Wolves".
I saw a hedgehog the other day.

"Rancher Loses Four Cattle To Wolves".

People are going to have to start getting used to losing to Wolves.

Oh, did I just know something like that was coming! When I typed that line, I nearly added a bracketed warning to you, Nige!

Peepmaster, you can't do that, you know. That's so unfair. It's like against Roger's human rights and shit like that. He'll be like "Oh my god!" and stuff and you'll be sorry and everything.

Yes, there are rattlesnakes in the Badlands and around Cyprus Hills - the south-east part of ALberta. THere is a snake museum in Drumheller - right next to the sausage factory.

I know it's probably a bit difficult to get it together with hubby running around the bed brandishing .22 rifles, but could we maybe have some piccies of the critters next time they're around?
