The Twilight movies

Yes, they are a load of crap but my 10 year old is now into them like most young girls around the globe.

This girl dates a guy who turns out to be a vampire in the first one, then in the second one her friend, who is a (hot) guy, turns out to be a werewolf. I predict for the third movie that she will find a nice new normal bloke to date who will subsequently turn into a zombie...or maybe a pirate.

What do you think?

People will come from strange lands to hear me speak my words of wisdom. They will ask me the secret of life and I will tell them. Then maybe I'll finish off with a song. The Nomad

I'm guessing a cartoonist. They're the next big thing.

I apologise, in advance.

I agree with you, Diane. The films are the biggest load of ****.  They seem to be done on the lines of flashback, so there's no actual story. The main cast (the idiot girl and the boy with dentures to make him look like a vampire) have not behaved in a manner that makes you actually want to pay to see the film.

I think he'll work in the butchery department of Sainsbury's and he'll moonlight practising his dismembering skills on gullible girls who can't speak properly.

What do you think?  I read all the books (two teen-aged grand-daughters......!) and quite liked them. I also bought the story CDs and liked those even more!

The Twilight series is a very cleaned-up version of the Sookie Stackhouse series. The "Sookie" series came first, by the way.

I rented the first Twilight film to see what everyone was talking about. The first part seemed like a typical angst-ridden teen movie and the second part reminded me of a Buffy rip-off. I also noticed they must have hired former circus clowns as makeup artists.

I couldn't be less interested if the entire franchise came with narration by Gordon Brown.

Well, I only read/listened to the stories because I was suffering withdrawal symptoms. But I'm all better now. I have my five series of NCIS back and I'm h-a-p-p-y!!!!!!!
