Christmas shopping
« on: December 05, 2010, 04:33:22 PM »
Has anyone braved the stores yet this year? I mean for meaningful xmas gifts such as jumpers and fudge not survival items because the roads are bad.

I asked someone how things were in our nearest city: "insane" was the answer.

Next year I will do this in October - somebody please remind me.

When I used to do Christmas shopping (and not just the mass buying of vouchers...) I would start in the January sales and the June sales. Saved a lot of hassle! October is far too late, Diane.

We got a late start but went to the city anyway. I got a lot of stuff! Lots of names off my list now so that feels good.

One store here called Superstore is open 24 hours for the holidays - they sell food and clothes and housewears.
