Mistress of Ceremonies
« on: March 18, 2011, 06:46:56 PM »
I am excited because I have another chance to MC an event. This time it is for the dance club's spring recital - April 17th in the Highschool gym.

When I did the Olympic pep rally for our town I was uncomfortable the whole time because the elastic went in my red sweatpants, they were inching down over my hips, I did have an RCMP member either side of me so I knew they would be there for back-up in a worst case senario but, all the same, it did cramp my style - my number one priority this time is a functioning outfit :-)

Does anyone have any interesting facts or snippits about dance?

People will come from strange lands to hear me speak my words of wisdom. They will ask me the secret of life and I will tell them. Then maybe I'll finish off with a song. The Nomad

My other half likes Scottish Country Dancing and tries to drag me along whenever she can. My advice on any sort of dancing is 'don't'!

Diane, you're the Mistress of Ceremonies, your red sweatpants are falling down and you have two Mounties on hand to pull them up.
Are you sure you didn't dream this?

You're right Roger - that was not the exact story. There were two RCMP memebers in red serge but THREE in reality - one was chosen to run aways with the olympic torch so he was there in his official grey suit and a beanie.

Did I not tell you lot the story of when I was asked to do the Olympic Pep rally?

It is a shame because I know I have repeated several stories.

So there were two Mounties waiting to pull your sweatpants up and a third one, wearing a grey suit and a beanie, carrying the Olympic torch.
Definitely not a dream, then.

Well it was not like that was their main purpose for being there.

No, their main purpose would be to get their man.
